How many Passivhaus projects are there in London?
Several large-scale Passivhaus developments are underway in the city. Camden Council’s Agar Grove estate regeneration aims to deliver 345 Passivhaus homes, with phases 1a and 1b already completed and certified.
Similarly, Hounslow Council’s Convent Way project plans to provide 967 Passivhaus homes, with a hybrid planning application submitted in autumn 2022.
In February 2025, the urbanest Battersea development achieved Passivhaus certification, becoming the largest Passivhaus building in the UK, accommodating 853 students.
While these projects indicate a growing adoption of the Passivhaus standard in London, it’s hard to give 100% accurate figures as to the numbers of Passivhaus projects in London currently.
